Our Staff

Arthur Murray dance studios are proud for you to meet our team of dance professionals. Our diverse community of instructors brings you the talents of one of the most experienced teams anywhere. They have studied dance for years -- here in the U.S. and around the world. They bring to Arthur Murray students both a global perspective and expertise that makes it so quick and easy to enter the fun, friendly and satisfying world of dancing.

Linda Theiss – General Manager

Linda started dancing Ballroom and Latin at the age of 17. Starting as a student herself she developed her love for dancing as well as helping people. While in school, Linda found dancing important, both to relieve stress, and for exercise. She started teaching in the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Virginia Beach and then moved to the DC area.  For Linda, dancing truly changed her life. She feels so eager to work everyday to share that same opportunity — and the sheer fun of dancing — with each and every student in her studios.

Tara Mungra – General Manager

Tara is the daughter of franchise owner Linda Theiss. Tara literally grew up at Arthur Murray! Everyone jokes that she danced before she could walk. Coming into the studio every day after school how could she not love dancing? Having two children of her own now she hopes to continue the tradition and pass on her love for the business as well as dancing to Emma and Ryan, your future instructors!

Tammy Robinson – Administrative Manager

Tammy is our full-time receptionist and part-time student! She’s worked at the Arthur Murray Silver Spring Studio since 2006. Tammy has found a new passion in her favorite dance —  the Rumba! Outside the studio you can find Tammy enjoying time with her grandchildren, reading a good book or scrapbooking!

Jumarcelon Castro - Supervisor

Jumarcelon started out as an Arthur Murray student himself.  Realizing his passion and potential, he decided to pursue his new-found love of dancing teaching at the Silver Spring Studio. Jumarcelon loves getting his students involved in our student events and competitions as well as competing himself. When he is not busy sharing his enthusiasm for dancing, you can find him snowboarding, sailing or riding his motorcycle.

André Cleofe - Instructor

Andre’s first career was in customer service where he enjoyed the personal interaction with customers and stepping in to help them. Today, he continues to “step in,” using his skills as a dance specialist to help new students at Arthur Murray’s studio get quickly up to speed with the skills — and fun — of dancing.

Jenny Peter - Instructor

Enjoying the athleticism of all sports, Jenny is a standout both in ball games and ballroom dancing. As our studio guest director she has the opportunity to share her skills as a dancer and a teacher — and her enthusiasm for dance — with friends and family of our student body.

Olga Folomeichina - Instructor

Trained in Standard and Latin dancing, as well as American Rhythm and Smooth dances, Olga has been studying dance since the age of six.  Both off and on the dance floor, she delves into every aspect of the sport, from hair and makeup to costuming. Olga has traveled extensively, living and studying dance in Russia, Moldova and Florida and doing shows all around the world, she has decided to put down roots with the Arthur Murray studio in Silver Spring.

Tess Minnick - Instuctor

Tess’s journey into dance started at the age of six with Irish step dancing.  Her dance journey continued as Tess joined Lindy hop dance clubs and then moved into swing dancing, where she found her love of ballroom dancing. Tess is fearless in her pursuit of learning and teaching any and all dances that the ballroom dance world throws her way.  Our resident artiste, Tess brings her skill and creativity as a welcome addition to the studio.

Gabrielle Moskey - Instructor

The summer after Gabrielle's first year of college, her mother signed up for a lesson at the Arthur Murray Studio in Silver Spring. Being a musician and Theatre Major, it wasn't a surprise when she became interested in taking lessons too. But when the summer ended, she had to return to college at the University of Virginia, two hours away from any Arthur Murray.

Fortunately, U.Va. had a Ballroom Club where Gabrielle learned both International and American Styles of Ballroom Dance and eventually became the Team Captain and Costume Chair of the Club, leading weekly review sessions and helping members with shoes and outfits.      In the first two years of joining the club, Gabrielle had competed in five collegiate competitions and performed in five showcases.  She won seven ribbons including 1st place in Bronze Swing and 2nd place in Bronze Rumba/Cha cha at the National Ohio Star Ball. She also competed in the U.Va. formation team.

After graduating in May 2008, Gabrielle has since enrolled into a certificate program for graphic design and began her career with Arthur Murray to share her passion of expressing music through dance.
